Important Notes

  • The initial 2.5 km stretch from Bel Ombre follows a well-maintained path. Beyond this point, the route transitions into an unmarked and less maintained section, where the terrain becomes more rugged.
  • These hidden trails are beloved by locals who are deeply familiar with the terrain, offering a truly immersive and adventurous experience.
  • One section of the trail requires crossing a river, so you should expect your shoes to get wet.
  • For hikers who are up for an additional challenge, a visit to the Sauzier Waterfall is an option. It is a 1.8 km walk from Port Launay Beach along the main road.
  • If you plan to swim at Port Launay Beach or the Sauzier Waterfall, consider bringing extra clothing and a towel.
  • This activity demands significant physical effort, strength, and endurance, often pushing participants to their limits.
